for you to connect, sign your transactions, etc. It calculates a new signature
every time you use it, which guarantees an optimal security.
The DIGIPASS can be used both as :
a traditional calculator,
an authenticator calculator device. This American word simply refers to a number of 6 digits - generated
by DIGIPASS - guaranteeing the origin of a message, or event he integrity
of its contents.
The Digipass is protected by a password that is personal.
PROCEDURE - INITIATION -
Switch your DIGIPASS on by pressing the
key.
Press the
key (initiation function), the screen displays
"INIT PIN?".
Enter the initial personal identification number ("init
pin") you have received from your bank under separate cover
(a star takes the place of each digit).
Press the
key, the screen displays "PIN?". Note : if the screen displays "INIT
PIN?", this means that you made a mistake when entering
the code.
Enter again the personal identification number ("init
pin").
Enter your 5-DIGIT personal code (a
star takes the place of each digit). Note : DIGIPASS refuses logical codes such as : 12345, 24680, 98765,
...
In this case, the screen displays the message "WEAK
PIN".
Press the
key, the screen displays "REPEAT PIN?".
Enter your personal code a second time. CAUTION : if you do not enter exactly the same personal code,
the system repeats the procedure.
Press the
key.
The screen displays "0". Your DIGIPASS is now ready for use.
The
key will be used more only during a possible modification of the
personal identification number.
To switch off your DIGIPASS, press the
key (DIGIPASS switches off automatically when left
idle during 30 seconds).
PROCEDURE FOR MODIFYNG YOUR PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION
NUMBER
Switch your DIGIPASS on by pressing the
key.
Press the
key, the screen displays "PIN?".
Press the
key.
Release the keys, the screen displays "OLD
PIN?" (Repeat this action if necessary).
Enter your current personal identification number (a
star takes the place of each digit).
Press the
key, the screen displays "NEW PIN?".
Enter your new 5- DIGIT personal identification number.
Press the
key, the screen displays "REPEAT PIN?"
Enter your new personal identification number a second time.
Press the
key,
The screen displays "0"
The modification of your personal identification
number is then completed.
You can change it as many times as you wish.
